Asia Internships
10-12 week summer internship programs in Asia for highly qualified undergraduate students. For the 2007-08 Asia Internships, BOSP will support internship positions in People’s Republic of China, Japan, and Republic of Korea.Cape Town
Special full-quarter program in Spring Quarter 2007-08: Community Development and Public Health in Post-Apartheid South Africa led by Dr. Timothy Stanton.
The program’s academic objectives are to introduce students to the people, history, politics and culture of post-apartheid South Africa with an emphasis on health-focused community reconstruction and development. Students enroll in seminars and service learning courses and conduct community-based research in Western Cape townships and informal communities.
Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies
Stanford University is a member of the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies (KCJS), a consortium of 14 American universities. Established in September 1989, KCJS sponsors a rigorous, two-semester academic program for undergraduates who wish to do advanced work in Japanese language and cultural studies.
